ABOUT US

What is NTTC?

Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur (A Govt. of Nagaland Society) was set up in 2006 by the Industries & Commerce Deptt., Government of Nagaland with financial assistance from the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India. NTTC, Dimapur is registered with the Govt. of Nagaland vide No. H/RS-3873 dated 02/11/04 under Societies Registration Act 1860.

The management of the affairs of the Centre lies with the Governing Council, which is a constituted body appointed by the Governor of Nagaland. The administrative head of the Dept. of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Nagaland is the Chairman/ Chairperson of the Governing Council body of NTTC. The Director of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Nagaland is the CEO of the Centre. The day-to-day affairs of the Centre is looked after by the Principal, NTTC.

What does NTTC do?

To impart Long-Term and Short-Term Trainings to the youth with the latest technologies and create self-employment opportunities
To provide training facility in Design & Manufacturing so as to generate skilled workers, technicians, designers etc
To act as common facility centre to Small Scale Industries, Entrepreneurs
To develop appropriate technology for socio-economic development.

AICTE approved 3-Year Diploma Courses (in collaboration with the Dept. of Technical Education, Nagaland), (i) Diploma in Mechanical Engg. (ii) Diploma in Computer Science & Engg. aligned with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the Curriculum. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the students are equipped with technical skills integrated with communication, entrepreneurship and life skills.

The academic activities are as per the Academic Calendar of State Council for Technical Education (SCTE), Kohima, Nagaland.

NTTC also offers Diploma Vocational (D.Voc.) in Automobile Sector (NSQF Level-III, IV & V) under AICTE and affiliated to State Council for Technical Education (SCTE), Kohima, Nagaland. This Course mainly focuses on practical skills and is designed to prepare students for immediate employment or further specialized training in its specific field.
