What is NTTC?

The Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC) is a government-established institute focused on technical education, vocational training, and skill development to boost employability and entrepreneurship in Nagaland.

What does NTTC do?

  • Offers skill development and technical training across sectors to support industrial growth in NE India.
  • Conducts programs like BADP for border area skill enhancement.
  • Provides a 4-year Diploma in Tool & Die Making (DTDM), including a one-year apprenticeship in reputed companies.
  • Offers Advanced Machining Courses for diploma students in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
  • Assists with placement and training allowances for final-year students.
  • Students are eligible for State/NSP scholarships.
  • Conducts long-term and short-term courses under schemes like EAP and E-SDP by MSME, Govt. of India.

Diploma in Tool and Die Making (DTDM) Course:

A 4-year course which includes a year of Industrial Training/OJT approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The DTDM Degree is equivalent to a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering for job purposes. The course covers extensive practical training alongside adequate theoretical learning, increasing the students’ scope for company jobs as well as entrepreneurial activities.

Community College Programmes under AICTE, New Delhi:

The NTTC conducts Vocational Diploma courses under AICTE, New Delhi in order to create and provide certifiable skills by empowering students technically based on the National Occupational Standards (NOSs) in order to enable them their sustainable livelihood. The courses for each level (I, II and III) are for a duration of 1(one) year
